Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

 Day 10

What a wonderful Wednesday we had in Coeur d'Alene! Our hotel has a free hot breakfast that we enjoyed. After getting ready for the day we headed to the city center to enjoy the lake and some shopping. 

For the first couple of hours we walked along the lake for about a mile or so. It was a cloudy morning and about 63 degrees. It was fantastic! There were so many people walking, biking, and running. After being inside for most of the year it is so refreshing to enjoy the outdoors. 

After our walk near the lake we headed up to the shops. They have a lot of cute shops which include clothes, t-shirts, a fun toy store, Christmas store, and wine shops. We bought a few things and then headed to a restaurant for lunch. The restaurant we chose was called Honey. I had the Mac and cheese with pastrami and a black cherry soda. 

After lunch it was time for our lake cruise. I would highly recommend taking the 90 minute cruise around the lake. It was so relaxing. During the cruise they tell you facts about what you are seeing and there was a time for "trivia." There was a worker who told facts about Idaho which was really interesting. The cruise also has a bar where you can buy drinks and snacks. 

After our cruise we headed back to the hotel. They offer a FREE happy hour from 5-7. Today they were supposed to have Oriental Chicken Salad... but when we arrived at 5:15 they were serving chicken tortilla soup. We got our bowls of soup and then they ran out... I guess it was poor planning on their end. Tons of people showed up for the happy hour. It was a nice perk. 

We are headed onto our next destination in the morning so we stayed in tonight. Check back for more adventures from Michelle and Celeste!
